Testimonials
I am a highly experienced and committed social worker with a passion for assisting clients, colleagues and supervisees to overcome obstacles and fulfil their potential. I have nearly 30 years of experience in diverse roles, including extensive case-management, crisis intervention, counselling and group work roles, as well as leadership, supervision and management positions.
I am a member of the Australian Clinical Supervision Association (ACSA).
As well as providing Supervision privately, I offer Supervision to students within the Monash University Master of Counselling program.
I am a registered member with ACA and a registered ACA Supervisor.
I have training and qualifications in psychology and social work from the University of Melbourne and am a full member of AASW. In addition I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and can support you if you are interested in going through the process of attaining your own mental health accreditation.
I have also completed a Master of Counselling at Monash University, and have training in Couples Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and EMDR, along with other modalities. I have considerable experience in facilitating therapeutic groups.
I have experience in a variety of practice areas and settings across community, education and health sectors, including schools, disability, NDIS, Mental Health, and hospital settings. Consequently, I am able to apply this broad knowledge and experience to the issues and case studies which you present in Supervision.
This experience has also given me the opportunity to observe the challenges and complexities of various professional roles; including social worker, counselling, family therapy and other allied health and educational roles.
I have worked as both a manager and supervisor. Colleagues and supervisee’s have described me as compassionate, warm and supportive in these roles, and I enjoy the experience of assisting another to reflect, learn and bring their best self to their work.

Theoretical Approach: I believe the opportunity for reflection provided by a supervision space which is safe and supportive is essential in order to be able to facilitate professional growth, support our own health and wellbeing, and ultimately to provide quality outcomes for our clients. I take an integrative approach to Supervision, utilising a variety of approaches depending on what is useful for the Supervisee(s) in each situation.
Professional interests: As indicated above, I have a broad range of experience, and some of my professional interests are:
Disability; Carers; Older adults; Mental Health issues such as Anxiety and Depression; Therapeutic Group Work and Counselling.
In addition, I am passionate about utilising A.C.T and Self Compassion approaches in my work.
