YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE STRUGGLING TO NEED SUPERVISION
Sometimes people think you need supervision because something is not going well in your work, or there is a problem. But that’s not the case… -You might be a very experienced social worker who wants somewhere to think deeply about your practice. -You might be relatively new and wanting to develop your professional confidence and skills. -You might be moving into a new area of practice. -You might be feeling stuck with a particular type of client, or even in your current workplace, and want to explore alternate options. -Or you might simply value having another experienced practitioner to talk things through with. Supervision isn't just about fixing problems. It's also about being proactive and developing your practice before you have a problem. It can be a place to explore new ideas, strengthen your skills, reflect on your professional identity and become more intentional about the way you work. So you don't have to wait until you're overwhelmed to seek supervision. Sometimes the best time to seek supervision is when you're doing okay and want to become even better at what you do, because good practitioners don't ever stop learning. It also helps prevent burn-out. If you are looking for a safe, support supervision space to explore your practice, have a look at my website and see if you think we might be a good fit ... and if so, feel free to reach out.
